Meet the Team

After earning a Ph.D. in chemical engineering specializing in materials science from Vanderbilt University, John led research teams across industry, academia, and US DOE national labs at Nikola Corporation. With over 12 years of experience working with nanostructures, he applies insights from nano- to industry-scale systems to tackle key bottlenecks and drive down the cost of sustainable technologies. He founded Rhoic to help scale solutions where they’re most needed, believing that advanced manufacturing in the materials space holds one of the largest levers to improve lives, lower costs, and make meaningful impact.

Ashley brings 15 years of experience in climate and has been instrumental in driving growth and efficiency in her previous startups—tripling team size, doubling revenue year over year, and leading international expansions. Her knack for optimizing operations, including cutting over $1M annually from a department's budget, and protecting innovation with patents and trademarks makes her a key driver of our ability to scale sustainably and strategically.
